Wall Street closes at a record for the first time since end of January
Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT), which rose 3.79% or 337.00 points to trade at 9,235.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) added 3.36% or 2,180.00 points to end at 67,100.00 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 2.98% or 4,570.00 points to 157,900.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 2.49% or 66.00 points to trade at 2,580.00 at the close. Bank Hapoalim (TASE:POLI) declined 2.44% or 160.00 points to end at 6,390.00 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was down 2.44% or 840.00 points to 33,540.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 252 to 204 and 86 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.79% or 337.00 to 9,235.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.13% or 0.08 to $62.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $65.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 4.38 to trade at $3,378.22 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.28% to 3.38, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.04% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 98.02.
