Wall Street closes at a record for the first time since end of January
Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG), which rose 4.48% or 2,990.00 points to trade at 69,770.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 4.43% or 3,840.00 points to end at 90,500.00 and Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) was up 4.15% or 62.00 points to 1,555.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 2.18% or 56.00 points to trade at 2,509.00 at the close. Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings Ltd (TASE:CLIS) declined 2.05% or 310.00 points to end at 14,830.00 and Leumi (TASE:LUMI) was down 2.04% or 124.00 points to 5,962.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 251 to 210 and 81 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.26% or 0.17 to $64.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.27% or 0.18 to hit $66.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 17.60 to trade at $3,451.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.25% to 3.42, while EUR/ILS fell 0.55% to 3.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 98.22.
